All About City First Aid
Since our founding, City First Aid has been dedicated to equipping New Zealanders with essential, practical first aid skills to make a difference in emergency situations. Locally owned and based in Christchurch, we’re proud to offer most of our courses in the Canterbury region, but our support extends nationwide – helping businesses and individuals across Aotearoa New Zealand gain the confidence and skills to respond effectively to health and safety challenges.
City First Aid Training Ltd is registered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) as a Private Training Establishment under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments. As a Category 2 provider, NZQA has deemed us Confident in our educational performance and Confident in our organisational capability in self-assessment. This recognition reflects our commitment to maintaining high-quality training standards and delivering impactful, accessible learning experiences.
Our team of experienced trainers is also expert in adapting learning environments to be inclusive and supportive. We welcome participants of all backgrounds and abilities and encourage individuals with specific needs – whether related to reading, hearing, sight, mobility, or past trauma – to reach out before their course. This helps us ensure every participant can engage fully and comfortably in the learning process.
Combining real-world expertise with hands-on training, City First Aid offers courses that are practical, flexible, and empowering, wherever you are in New Zealand.
