About City First Aid
We train people to save lives.
E whakangungu ana i ngā iwi ki te whakarauora tangata.
City First Aid is a values-based, family business committed to providing excellence in first-aid education.
Guided by our original teaching framework, Ngā Hoe e Waru - The Eight Paddles of Teaching, we design learning experiences that move forward together, where everyone feels welcome, engaged, safe, and confident to use their skills when it matters most.
Based in Ōtautahi | Christchurch and serving communities across Canterbury and beyond, we make training practical, relevant, and fun.
Our tutors bring deep professional experience and genuine care, turning real-world scenarios into confidence-building moments that last long after the class ends.
We believe everyday Kiwis can step up in the moments that matter, when equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and manaakitanga (care and respect).
Our goal is to grow confident first aiders who create safer whānau, workplaces, and communities for us all.
We are proud to be an NZQA-registered Private Training Establishment (Category 2), reflecting NZQA’s confidence in the quality of our training and our ongoing commitment to improvement and innovation.
Our Promise
At City First Aid, learning is never one-size-fits-all.
Our courses are built around inclusion, connection, and real-life application: so every learner leaves not only qualified, but ready, safe and confident to make a difference.
