Suitable for surf lifesavers, outdoor instructors, guides, adventure tourism staff, remote workers, search and rescue volunteers, and anyone responsible for providing emergency care where help may be delayed.

You'll develop advanced patient assessment skills, airway management, oxygen therapy, high-performance CPR, emergency equipment use, patient monitoring, and casualty management in challenging environments.

 

Course Options

Initial Certification
• Two days of face-to-face training
• Pre-course reading required

Refresher
• One day of face-to-face training
• Pre-course reading required
• Includes revalidation of your comprehensive first aid qualification

 

Prerequisites
A current New Zealand First Aid Certificate (6402, 6401 and 6400) is required before attending this course.
