Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

We’re proud of who we are—a team of dedicated, passionate trainers on a mission to empower others with life-saving skills. We bring energy, expertise, and a love for what we do, making every class a unique and engaging experience. Loud and quiet, funny and serious, professional and playful—we’re a team that adapts, connects, and makes learning first aid both effective and enjoyable. Join us and be part of something that truly makes a difference!

Brian & Vicky – Directors, Ma and Pa & the Heartbeat of City First Aid
Brian and Vicky are the heart of City First Aid. With Vicky’s theatre nursing background and Brian’s construction experience, they share a vision: bringing hope, confidence, and practical skills to first aid. Vicky keeps City First Aid running daily, while together, they lead a passionate team making first aid engaging, accessible, and even fun

Gail – The Compliance Queen & Storyteller Extraordinaire
A local lass, Gail grew up in the wilds of rural New Zealand but spent years overseas. With a background in occupational therapy and extreme gardening, she balances research, compliance, and hands-on teaching like no one else. Whether leading a class or in the office behind the scenes, Gail brings both wisdom and warmth to the team.

Yvonne – The ‘Why’ Guru
Originally from the Netherlands, Yvonne’s experience spans international nursing in remote areas and medical equipment sales. She’s deeply involved in Surf Life Saving and Coastguard volunteering with her family and has an incredible knack for explaining why we do what we do in first aid. Lucky for us, she’s here to stay in Aotearoa!

Nick – The Calm in the Chaos
The new guy (and a Brit), Nick brings his expertise in outdoor education to the team. Nick is like a relaxed Sunday drive on a sunny day—calm, steady, and exactly what you need. He’s full of great stories and a love of the outdoors and flying, and we’re absolutely thrilled he landed here with us!

Jodie hails from Manitoba, Canada, and brings a wealth of real-world experience to her teaching. With a background in emergency room nursing and a passion for extreme mountain biking, she knows what it means to stay calm and focused under pressure.
Active by nature and dedicated to helping others, Jodie is excited to share her skills with the community. She believes first aid is a powerful tool that equips everyday people to make a real difference, and she looks forward to empowering learners with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.
