At City First Aid in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, family is truly at the heart of what we do.
Alongside founders Brian and Vicky, the wider whānau also play a vital role behind the scenes. David and his wife Jodi bring their skills, energy, and values to the team, strengthening CFA as a genuine family-run, values-based company delivering first aid training across Canterbury and beyond.
Meet Jodi - Accounts & Finance
Jodi is our quiet powerhouse in the accounts space, keeping the finances steady while Brian and Vicky are away. With Sherlock Holmes–level precision, she has already patched up a few admin challenges for us in recent weeks. Guided by integrity, Jodi ensures the numbers balance and background details are cared for. Her practical, steady approach keeps everything running smoothly. Outside of work, her Saturday morning bacon-and-eggs ritual shows her down-to-earth side. For Jodi, first aid matters because you never know when you might be the only person able to step up in an emergency.
Meet David - Education & IT
David wears two hats at City First Aid: Director of Education and IT problem-solver. With a value of putting others first, his focus is on removing friction so tutors and admin can concentrate on what they do best, delivering high-quality first aid training. Away from the office, David dreams of one day sailing around the world, a reminder to keep looking to the horizon. His belief in first aid is simple and powerful: at some point, someone will rely on you to act.
Family Spirit at City First Aid Training
Together, David and Jodi embody the spirit of City First Aid. They don’t just support the business - they live out the values that guide us all: integrity, service, and care for others. And yes, David is our comedic relief, you can just tell from that smile, right?!. With David and Jodi behind the scenes and Vicky and Brian leading from the front, every part of our team plays a role in empowering everyday New Zealanders with life-saving skills through first aid training in Christchurch, across Canterbury, and throughout the motu.
